KUNZITE GEM STONE


Kunzite is a pink to lilac colored gemstone. A variety of spodumene with the color coming from minor to trace amounts of manganese. It was named in honor of New York mineralogist and gemologist George Frederick Kunz. It is majorly found in Brazil, the USA, Canada, the CIS, Mexico, Sweden, Western Australia, Afganistan, Pakistan and Madagascar.

Moh's Hardness = 6.5 - 7.
